AS Restor to cooperate with Foundation of Haapsalu and Läänemaa Museums to conserve and restore Bishop’s Castle
December saw the Foundation of Haapsalu and Läänemaa Museums entering into a contract for the conservation and restoration of the Bishop’s Castle,
which is set to be renovated. 2019 will see the opening of an activity museum/visitor centre with a focus on medieval history in the castle. The museum will house a fascinating interactive exhibition as well as entertaining educational programmes showcasing medieval culture and customs.
The architectural solution was developed by KAOS Arhitektid. Castle development activities are funded by Enterprise Estonia’s regional competitiveness measure and the European Regional Development Fund.
